Is Mercedes trying to make the C-class look more Asian to get people who like German-looking cars to move up to the E-class? Has Lexus bought MB?

I hope this is Photochopped. I will continue believing that Mercedes makes more beautiful cars than BMW's ugly ducklings until I see one of these in a showroom.

A MB that actually looks all-around nice! Even though it looks like a mini-next-generation S-Class, it wouldn't be a bad thing.

If this is how the next C-class will look then my next car may be a C-Class instead of the BMW E90. It all depends on the engine offerings. From what I can see, the C looks better than the E90 on the outside (imo). I immediately liked the pic of the new C. I can’t say that about the E90. The E90 definitely looks better in person than it does in pics (I saw the car last November at a BMW “test group” session) but I think that the C will still look better.

Message to BMW:
Fire Chris Bangle. Your U.S sales are tanking. The cars look awkward and doofy from certain if not all angles (E90 is a little better). BMW should know that trendy “look-at-me” designs age badly and do not stand the test of time. Why do you think that most Japanese cars look dated after a few years? BMW never had that problem; their cars would look crisp for years and age gracefully. Not anymore. The interiors are becoming increasingly boring and super plasticky. I can’t understand why BMW would remove certain enthusiasts items like a temp gauge (I thought BMWs were drivers cars) penny pinching I guess. Your cars are also ridiculously overpriced (525i, 530i, 645ci) and underpowered (525i and the 530i to some extent).

I used to love BMW but one of the main things that I loved about them is no longer applicable (smooth, conservative, aggressive looks). At least they still drive like BMWs because they don’t look like BMWs anymore. The current BMW’s have an Asian flare that really turns me off. The new BMWs would look more at home in a Lexus dealership than it does at a BMW dealership. Good luck BMW, you are going to need it.

Very nice looking vehicle especially the wagon which looks like an Audi. The sedan has a weak rear-end with hints of Saab and Ford but on balance a nice slightly sportier appearance.
