Here's a real doozie for you...

I was pulling the change out of my pocket at Starbucks when my BMW mole dropped a real bomb on me!

Check this out...

As we get closer to the intro of the 7-series refresh, the big news is that it may not be a refresh after all!

The buzz is that it will be much more than a refresh.

She also told me that not only will the car be changing but so will the name.

That will help distance it from the current car.

Our sources say it will be called the 750 and the horsepower will be upped to over 350.

I side with HeyLow - I see quite many people whine about the smallest thing when they bring in their BMW's for servicing - my motto: Be nice to your serive advisors and you'll get the best service! First of all, if the part is not in stock, I always get the offer to keep my car and come back in when the part IS there. Secondly, at least BMW customers get a rental car. All advisors get commission and their bonus pay depend on customer surveys - they have no incentive to piss you off. My other car is an Evo and when it is in service, then I can either walk or sit and wait! Last, so what if you paid $90k for your car? When was the last time that a cop was impressed when being told that we pay their wages?

I feel this is a smart move on BMW . The 745's were not embraced by many who for years have given much deserved criticism to that car. Now a new name , beefier engine ,and better design could wash away some of the sentiment of the previous car. Now I do feel that the interior could use some improvent as well -particularly that awful Oldsmobile like dash . Also I feel that i drive ought to be an option and NON i drive vehicles ought to be less expensive . Some love the i drive while others do not and they should NOT have to buy it if they don't like it .
It's time that BMW re- establish some automotive prowess with a new model instead of having loyal customers clinging to their memories of older models.
Personally --my favorite current BMW is an m3 or a previous m5 . That hasn't changed and I feel that sentiment similar to mine needs to change for sales growth because I am NOT alone in my thoughts on these cars .
BTW --I have purchased over the years 19 BMW's and although I currently drive a Porsche Carrera S 2005 --BMW had long been a second vehicle .Not anymore though --I am using my 997 S as a daily driver and I don't care about the miles --it's the best car I ever owned to this date.

Initially I thought 001 was a BMW fan. Then I noticed all of the Mercedes advertising, but what the hell, the site is still free so he needs duckets to cover his expenses. Now I see 001 is currently in an S4 Audi and awaiting arrival of his 2006 S-Class. Obviously, 001 is an equal opportunity editorialist. My biggest concern is that Big D will delete this message as he has the past.
