Next rotary-engined Mazda RX-7 to be inspired by Taiki concept

Having attended an actual event where Mazda showed a few proposals for the next RX-series, I get the impression the design will definitely adopt several styling cues from recent concept cars...

Just not as many from this one.

Note: I firmly believe that a McLaren F1 'central seating' position is a go though.

3.2 liter class the car will have a 1.6, the RX8 isn't counted as a 1.3 but a 2.6.

My favorite style was the RX7 Turbo II, the one with 182hp and later 200hp version. Looked like a Porsche 944.

The current RX-8 is beautiful. Hard to redo it...I was expecting more of an evolutionary design, with more attention paid to the performance of the rotary (seeing as weight is NOT a problem).
