The X5 was never built as an off road vehical, and it was never marketed as one. The X5 is a great driving SAV. The Range Rover is designed as a lux off roader. These two cars should not be compared. Fort those of you that sit around bashing BMW cars, I would like to ask the following. 1. have you ever driven one of these car, and driving your Dad's car does not count? 2. What are your needs? If your looking for a true off roader, then the Bimmer is not for you.
