Lutz: ‘Read my lips - I am not thinking retirement’

One of, or probably the only, personality we like seeing at auto shows is the wonderful vice chairman of GM, Bob Lutz. However a report was released yesterday by the Associated Press suggesting that the 75 year old product chief may be considering retirement after the Chevrolet Volt debuts in 2010.

We were deeply saddened by the news when we first heard it, but are now relieved after Lutz wrote an e-mail to Automotive News saying that he is not going anywhere.

Lutz is almost a brand name. Lutz is to cars as Trump is to real estate. I'm sure Lutz could collect fees for life just for lending his name to GM's marketing and PR efforts.

agent75, yes Malibu is a good car and it would be a great car if GM made it in a RWD version with LSD and some form of AWD version with a North-South engine instead of a transversely mounted one.

No one like BMW more than I do, however the Chevy Maibu, and cadillac CTS are decent product for the money. a big improvement. improveme limprovement no BMW but better tha .
