Should These Cars Come Back?

Let us face the facts, the Akura NSX never was a Ferrai fighter.

Never was and never will be.

When I think of the NSX it makes me think of someguy standing at the end of a pier catching squid at 5:00AM in the morning.

A Ferrari makes me think of being out to dinner with a sexy Italian woman sipping some some good wine on a Saturday night.

Does this Italian woman on your date have hairy armpits EL34?

Bring back the Supra!

The NSX was too hard to get in and out of to even qualify as a car. It was an overpriced marketing gimmick with an inherently-out-of-balance 90-degree V6 instead of a proper 90-degree V8 engine that it should have had.

The vehicles that I feel most deserving of a resurrection:

Honda CR-X

Well built, light weight, affordable to the masses, great handling, fuel efficient, sensibly sized, great looking inside and out.

This vehicle was way ahead of its time, and given the new MPG mandates, its time is now!

DaHarders right, I consider the demise of the CR-X one of Honda few mistakes. Acura on the other hand has made to many mistakes to count.

the crx was the ultimate hatch in '91 the Remix concept would be a good alternetive.

the crx was never an appealing car. blocky styling, dumb back window, ugly colors, bad quality...

ugly colors- colors? that is the owners choice. they can make it ugly if they want.

I read somewhere that CRX will make a comeback very soon with a hybrid and its going to be known as the first sport hybrid car. Honda brainfarted when they axed this little critter.

i agree the Acura NSX was never much a ferrari fighter but it really was in a class by itself. Exotic car looks, good epa, comfortable, well put together and easy to drive. It has always been my favorite Japanese car hands down. They should keep the formula of the old model with a larger engine with more power but hey it was getting 4.9 with less that 300hp so it was doing pretty good. One car i think would be cool to see again and im sure its just me lol, is the Prowler the issue with the prowler mostly was the engine Chrysler has a worthy V8 now i wonder how well it would perform with the 425 or 345 hp V8 hemis, its still good looking car, and the ones ive seen still sell for 40,000 which is about what they cost brand new

no need to bring anything back... just look at the future.

It pains me that I sold my '66 Lotus Elan roadster many yrs ago. Could easily outrun the Porshe 911 in the curves at the time. And that's using only my left hand on the steering wheel! It was geared low so about 85 mph it was losing a lot of steam.
The unbelievable handling was all the more remarkable since this car had 165/70X13 Pirelli tires!

in hope to gain manufacturing numbers, vw will probably end up bringing the corrado back. it would be a good move.

good list. the nsx, however, is on hold for the moment. theres no clear update to whether this will make a clean comeback.

I'd like to see the Integra again. I liked both the 2nd and 3rd gen versions, and the RSX should never have happened. Instead, the 4th gen should have been based on the S2000 platform. A shame. If they try to build it again, you just know it will be taller, fatter looking, with slits for windows and tons of random body crease lines. They may be building cars a lot better these days, but those early 90's Japanese stylists were good.

99-01 ITR was a great car. I prefer its jdm look over the circular front end look.

I dont remember but the AE86 is the closest, which came in the late 80s.

2nd gen integra...

that is one of my favorite vehicles...handles great, great MPG, great styling, just overall great.

i agree the RSX spoiled a lot of things that the integra accomplished, but seriously...the RSX-R (ITR in japan) is a dream to drive. i had the pleasure of screaming to redline when it first came out, the R line for honda's are truly impressive.

They should all come back!

The Grand National! That was a great car. It was one of my favorites as a child at the genesis of my automotive enthusiasm.

I enjoyed an NSX for a short time. It was quite okay, but it was not the inspiration I had expected. All things considered, if it had sold for a lot less, it would have at least held the "amazing for the money" torch.
