Detroit Auto Show: Are You Ready For The First Chinese Built Buick?

Buick will use the Detroit auto show in January as the stage for the US debut of its Riviera gull-wing coupe concept, first unveiled in China earlier this year.

Buick says the Riviera, which borrows styling cues from the popular Buick Velite convertible concept of a few years ago, shows the styling direction Buick will take in its future cars, starting with the next-generation Buick LaCrosse, which Buick says is "coming soon."

Buick once sold some of the worlds most dynamically styles vehicles with its Riviera offerings.

And its current lineup is coming along very nicely.

I'm happy for their success in the Chinese market, and would be thrilled if it brought about even better efforts (like this concept) in the near future.

That's the best looking vehicle Buick I've ever seen. When I here the word Buick, I think retirees in Florida, but this changes everything, that is if it actually gets released.

In the pic 2, I think that the rear appears oddly short/truncated, but I believe that's more caused by the angle at which the pic was shot, because in pic 14, it looks perfectly balanced.

say what you want, but i never wanted a BUICK this bad ! this car is HOT ! it will do to the coupes what the chrysler 300 did to american sedans. make people want an American coupe.
