Why is there an "I" at the end of the title?

and the takeover begins...

the EX should sell great, best in class design with best in class interior, and a very eager motor underneath...all for 35k, definitely a seller!

Should do great with the women!

I think we alll see something we like about the EX, but essentially its has estrogen built in the air vents. Now, the FX is another story, that thing is all male.

It should do great with the women. I think infiniti's interior is cheap. The car will look nice for a year, then go to hell. I think it is fugly, but if you like japanamation, then it is for you. I would not be caught dead in this car.

Strange...my girlfriend has an 05 G35 and the interior is just as good as the first day she got it. The BMW, while nicely put together with fine materials, looks like sh*t from day one.

Err... not quite. New Infiniti interiors (like the EX!) are great, but the last-gen G35's was super-cheap. I have a friend who just traded in his '03 for an '08 and the '03's interior looked terrible. The leather was looking fake, the "wood" would probably fall off soon, and it just didn't feel substantial.

S4, it doesnt have wood trim, its aluminum. The leather is holding up fine (although, I do like BMW leather, because it has though basketball rivets).

Also, from a design standpoint, the interior looks great. Its material quality that hurts it. But it is NOT falling apart by any means. Do you have a G35 for reference? No...I on the other hand, do.

"S4, it doesnt have wood trim, its aluminum."

It had plasti-aluminum on the center stack, and plasti-wood on the door pulls. I couldn't find a proper picture of a 2003 G35 sedan interior (with the wooden door pulls) online.

But yes, it had it. I drove that car quite a few times. It's very fun, and no, there's nothing wrong with its design inside or out (I liked the exterior a lot). But the materials were horrendous. I'm guessing you have the 2005-2006 version, which was very much improved. The 2007 is the best of all, of course.

BTW... why do you have a G35 AND an M35? Or were you just talking about your girlfriend's?

Because the '03 was my close friend's car. Like I said, he traded it in for an '08 the other day. Much better!

hahaha I dont have an M35! I think everyone thinks I do...I have a Mazdaspeed3 - the name comes from another car I had...and yes she has the '05, which improved on the el-cheapo plastics used in the 03, 04 models...they're getting better...but as they do, of course, the price goes up.

Great Crossover, should be a winner. BTW to me it looks best in darker colors and not the pictured above grey/silver. A red, black and White would be great.

I personally wouldnt go for it. But Im guessing a lot of women and techno wizzes will be drooling. Reminds me too much of the cheaper Nissan Rouge which is what it is essentially.

I know its based on the G Platfom. I never stated it shared parts with the Rouge, People like you love to twist words and attack things that dont exist. WHo is the moron now?

And it does look a lot like the Rouge. Especially the back. Looks almost like a rebadge. That was my point whether you agree with it or not its MY OPINION so deal with it.

W209 - the name of the car is "Rogue", not "Rouge" (as in makeup). Or were you making fun of the Infiniti's appeal to women?

There it is again.....

Im not backpeddling. You guys are the ones that need to read better. I hate the styling of both cars honestly, the whole crossover thing is getting terribly ugly lately. The infiniti FX is a classic and will always be, as a matter of fact its also my favorite crossover from the exterior. I have nothing at all against the brand. But the EX is a hideous glob that will fad out of style VERY quickly

S4, i think you are thinking of me with that comment.

BTW I have sat in the EX and it is a great car for 35K or even 40K.
Great engine and Platform too.

I've always admired Infinti's ability to get a show car to markets so fast. As much as I love BMW, boy they drag things out. Case in point the M3, official information out almost a year and the car is still not in the US.

I think it's a beautiful car and just what I've been waiting for. I don't need backseat room. I'll have those seats down 90% of the time. I'll be able to throw skis and snowboard back there, my bike (OK, maybe with the front wheel off), and all the other detritus of my urban active lifestyle. Hey, maybe I'm the target demo! And I'm not even a chick. Although my best friends are.

Love the EX. With an essentially dead field (X3 being the ugliest BMW by far and RDX being a gas-guzzler), it will do quite well!

One thing I noticed... the FX sits quite low to the ground, almost like a tall wagon. This will presumably be even lower, which means it will probably be a slightly raised G hatchback. I actually like that idea.

From marketing standpoint, doesn't it make sense to tune the car to an even 300hp, like BMW's 3-series? I can't imagine it will be too tough to add 3 more horses.

Does it matter? It beats out the X3 by over 40 and the RDX by over 60.
