Nissan Forum Concept unveiled
The Nissan FORUM, an exploratory design concept developed by Nissan Design America, Inc. (NDA), represents the next revolution in family transportation. Answering the challenge of making family passenger vehicles more appealing to both drivers and passengers, FORUM offers a wide array of innovative ideas – from its trackless sliding side doors and elimination of traditional B-pillars, to an interior featuring a multi-position swiveling 2nd row seat and next-generation entertainment and family communications technology. FORUM makes its world auto show debut at the 2008 North American International Auto Show in Detroit in January.

Nissan is trying to be innovative, different from Honda and Toyota. Hopefully it won't get shot down like Nissan Quest.
I own the Quest and I love the van. Don't understand why most people hate it. I have not have any problem with my van and I plan to purchase the next generation of Quest, which I hope is this Forum.
I will never buy anything that looks like a box with four wheels: Sienna, Odyssey and now the Caravan.
Hopefully Nissan will go ahead with this concept.

I'd wager that it will make production (largely in this form) for the JDM market as stylish people movers have done very well there over the years.

Having lived there for 10 years (stationed at Kadena Okinawa Japan), concepts like these often became reality with little modification.
