Paris Hilton ordered one already. She said her current SLR is still not fast enough. On one of the interviews, they asked her why she needs a fast car and she said it's because she needs one that is capable of running away from the paparazzi. And she had some lessons and spend private track time with some F1 racers before taking delivery.

The Veyron cost $1.6M last time I checked... Remember, that vehicle runs 13 minutes at top speed between fill-ups. Makes no sense at all.

The normal SLR can do 20 minutes top speed before the tank runs out. This one will be even less.
Plus, there isn't a road long enough for the bugatti to run 400km/h for 12 minutes.

I thought I mentioned this many times already. It runs around the ring at 7:22, thus the name SLR 722 was used to honor that achievement.

However, there are a few people on this site that disagrees with me, but they got no solid evidence to back it up.

I suppose the 1955 SLR #722 that was raced by Sterling Moss at Mille Miglia came to the future and saw a Mclaren SLR run 7:22 on the nurburgring, went back to the past, and used that number?

Or perhaps it was a coincident. in 1955, Mercedes said lets pick a # for a race car, maybe 722, and then in 2006, the SLR said wow, we did the ring in 7:22...

Can anyone tell me why this "special edition" McLaren SLR 722 is slower than the regular version? 210mph vs. 195mph on this GT model. And for more than twice the price, what do you get for an extra $500k?

Because of all the wings and the extra downforce it will bring. Extra downforce means more drag but also gives you far superior cornering speed.
Why do you think Formula 1 cars top out at 320km/h at most tracks? Dispite having 800+hp

heyhuub is right...

Its a track car, so downforce is more important than top end speed. It needs down force in corners and for traction. Thats why F1 cars have to decide on whether they want top end speed on the straights or want superior handling. Its a give and take relationship, downforce and top end speed.
