2008 Gumball 3000 Rally Details "From USA TO China in 8 Days"

The 2008 Gumball 3000 rally has finally found its home with its main hosts being North America , Korea, and China. The famous 8 day rally will start out in San Francisco and move on through other sunny and exciting Cali areas such as LA, and San Diego. From Sandy D, drivers will get the chance to roll the dice in Las Vegas and once that is done all 120 entrants will be airlifted from Vegas to Pyongyang North Korean to continue the 3,000 mile journey. Finally after spending one night in Korea's capital city, Gumball 300 rally-goers will finish up in Shanghai Beijing , the host to the next Olympic games.

According to the founder of Gumball 3000 Max Cooper:

and the gov't nonetheless spends money on good roads. (for "defense" purposes? which was also the initial justification for OUR interstates.)

i fully agree that most americans --having bought gov't and media propaganda hook, line, and sinker-- tend to ASSUME we the freest and best country, whilst many other "regimes" are overly oppressive.

per capita if not in absolute numbers, we have more people INCARCERATED than any other country. since 9/11 (allowed to happen for geopolitical reasons by the bush regime), we have ALL (citizens and visitors alike) LOST many freedoms, and the induced levels of paranoia at our borders have skyrocketed.

i'm NOT saying the american people are bad; i blame this all on the gov't and the intentional DOMESTIC and high level instigators of 9/11.

btw, the rationalization is mainly so americans will continue to enjoy (relatively) CHEAP OIL. which turns out NOT so cheap when you factor in lives and outrageous "defense" expenditures.

And no, I don't look like a terrorist, no I haven't commited any crimes and no I've never smuggled anything, but whenever you arrive in the US (despite the fact that you might travel there to take part in the relief efforts following Katrina and your visa clearly states "In relief effort...") you are treated as a criminal by the authorities... I've met lots and lots of very friendly people aswell (especially when you are there to help), but it simply doesn't make up for the treatment by the authorities!

you are correct in that ALL countries have good points, in in the minds of natives, usually considered very good if not "the best." that is completely natural.

however, you need to get beyond your OWN over-simplistic thinking and realize that when i and others "criticize america," it is not for lack of love of our country. it is CONSTRUCTIVE criticism so that with recognized faults pointed out, we can make this a BETTER country.

it boggles the mind, to even TRY to imagine what will go thru the average n. korean peasant's mind when he witnesses the parade of cars in THIS gumball rally rolling past!

i wouldn't be surprised if some of them become convinced THE MARTIANS HAVE LANDED!

but once they come up to speed, and once relations are normalized bet'n N. and S. Korea, they will be no shortage of Hyundai and KIA workers in the north busting their asses for mere peanuts, working to be able to trade in their bicycles for motorized wheels.

as i said, so many people have been propagandized by the mass media. (often erroneously slammed as "the leftist LIBERAL media." they deserve to be slammed, but because they actually cater to RIGHTIST interests and those STILL believing the "robber baron" mentality abets the United States' best interests.)

Where really is the ending of the race? Shanghai and Beijing are two different cities. Beijing is the one which will host the olympics. Shanghai is about 8 to 10 hours away by car to the south of Beijing. China is not bad except for the traffic. As for Pyongyang, no one really knows.
