MUGEN tunes the 2008 Honda Accord
MUGEN, the tuner of almost everything Honda, has released its tuner kit for the 2008 Honda Inspire, the Japanese version of the 2008 Honda Accord sedan.

The kit includes a variety of upgrades including a new grille, stainless steel exhaust system, front and rear aprons, a rear spoiler and 18-inch alloy wheels in several finishes.

Performance wise customers can go for a tuned sports suspension better brakes. Pricing for the kit begins at 173,250 Yen ($1,578). We think that the Honda HF-S Concept is hotter.

The latest Accord Sedan looks anything but 'sporty' and placing a barrage of miscellaneous 'aerodynamic' aids about its bloated body does little more than make matters worse.

If there are any aspirations of 'sportiness' to be found in the Accord line-up... It's with the Coupe, not this dowdy family hauler.

DaHarder...

you need to stop reading my vehicle log book. Your stealing all of my lines.

I agree both Sedan and Coupe are atrocious. The older models are much better looking. And "linear continuity" can actually back me up.

This weekend I was able to escape the wife and child for a bit, to go over to a buddies house and do a complete brake replacement on his 2005 Red Honda Accord Coupe V6 6speed. We had to pick up a rotor screw to replace the one left off his brakes when the dealer did a brake job 1 month ago (way to go ASE certified dealer..btw one of 3 things they did't do when they cough cough "fixed" the brakes).

We had the opportunity to park his car next to a new black 08 Coupe and let me say that Honda has definatly taken a step backwards. The front end alone shows this. And no body kit will fix it.

Everyone on this site should drive to their local Honda dealership and take a look at the front end of the new Accord very closely. The seden dosen't have this problem (theough the rear is uglier than sin)but the coupe does(why I don't know). Look at the lines of the bonnet, the front facia and the left and right front quarterpanels. Specifically around the headlights. The lines dont match up. It's as if honda stopped the front hood 2in too short from where it should have been. I think Honda knows this and is why when you look online for pictures of the new coupe, you never get a close up of the nose.

Even if MUGEN gave it a lip spoiler it still wouldn't fix those broken lines.

Thats a good thing lol. The old gens tail lights were the worst on any family sedan

except that huge spoiler looks very good.

but i still think early 90s to second last generation accords were the best. light, very low, very sporty and i wish Honda make something similar now.

In 6 easy steps how to make an already ugly car even more uglier.

I like the new Accord way more than the old one. It looks far more aggressive, and maybe because I love Banglized cars.

A mix of Suzuki SX4, Infiniti M35 & 2005 Camry (bulging headlamps) in the front... Nissan Altima & BMW 5 series from the side with a little BMW 5 series and Hyundai Sonata (duh! LOL) in the rear.

I'm sure it's a great car, but damn... can we get one that doesn't look like it's been vomited on by every manufacturer Honda? They must be smoking some good stuff to allow this design even pass the clay models.

The normal Honda Accord is a nicer car. This car is just plain ugly.

I simply dont see why the Japanese think a giant wing makes a car look good...Subtleness is key.
