One of the most anticipated cars here in the USA is the new BMW M5.





We had our first chanche to take a look and photograph the car for the first time at the Detroit show...Man, that blue was AWESOME!

Actually, the first time the new M5 was displayed in the USA was at BMW Octoberfest in July 2004 in Pasadena, CA. (See September 2004 issue of Roundel magazine)

BlueBoy do you think 384 lb-ft of torque out-muscles 516 lb-ft of torque? Where I come from those numbers would indicate the M5 has LESS torque than the E55. Beyond that it doesn't hit that number until 6100 RPM. The E55 hits its 516 lb-ft at 2650 RPM!! I'm sure the M5 is a great car, if you can put up the interior ergonomics, but so is the E55. Different flavors for different people.
