I usually don't bash toyota, but really this kind of cr#p really can put off anyone, no wonder some users in autospies think of moronic toyota fans like you as idiots. Please know your limitations, Toyota may be the World's largest producer of economic and plastic cars, but in Formula one, their lack of clever technology and engineering innovation is showing, otherwise how can the toyota racing team can alway come such below par in ranking even after spending the highest of any formula one team. Clearly Toyota seems only good enough for producing mass produced and cheap car, when it comes to technolgies, they clearly are far behind.

Its a decent pay over the next 5 years, I suppose. Its a good salary for a second year star. He certainly does not deserve to be paid what the veterans are being paid.

and 27M a year is not much for an F1 driver. Thats about average... Kimi and Alonso were making twice as much.

Ziarnaim... you sound stupid. Celebrities and athletes can't be paid too much. They are paid whatever the market will bear. Obviously Lewis Hamilton generates enough revenue to justify his salary, or they wouldn't be willing and able to give it to them.

Celebrities and Athletes get paid the money they do because people are willing to give it to them. If you are looking for fairness in this world, then the buck doesn't stop with rich athletes. Ask yourself: 'Just who are these guys that are cutting the checks?'

If you think that Lewis Hamilton's pay is excessive, then just how much money do you need to have to be his employer?

God bless you pushrod27. I could not have explained it any better. Except I would add that this does not include endorsements or product placements which could be more than $40 million a year. Remember Micheal was earning $25 million per season with Ferrari but his total for the year was over $80 million!!! making him the highest paid sports-person for 3 years straight(even more than Tiger woods!)
