This will happen someday somewhere anyway. Compared to Hong Kong, US is too big to crash to anything, yet way more people lost their lives from car accident than other parts of the world.

That's what will happen when you make a supercar so affordable. Someone bounds to crash it like feeling nothing.

Thank God at least NISSAN is making 12,000 of it annually.

American Lexus fan is shameless. Not only TOYOTA has never got any podium, the only USA F1 driver, with a Ferrari at hand, got an outstanding "0" points in 2007.

old story. it was some swedish guy who owned a gaming firm (don't remember what it was called) who was street racing while going DUI with another person in an slr mclaren. dude was charged for embezzlement and other scandals. can't remember much though.

late teens to early twenties...i think it will be more late 20's to early 40's who will be owners of this vehicle.


and definitely insurance costs will be high, one you have a turbo model vehicle, your insurance cost goes up significatly.

I would think that most owners of this car would be mid 20's to 40's males. Either way, insurance is still going to be insane for any age.

Just a classic example of a person who probably doesn't know how to handle so much power.

I bet we do a lot of these GT-R's crashed because so much horsepower and so little brains. As you know, money does not equal intelligence.

Cut off could happen to any motor if they didn't shift B4 redline.

I'll reserve judgment on the driver since it was a head on collision. It most definitely might not have been his fault. I will say, that I have met a great many owners who thought they were better drivers than they actually were. When you are dealing with relatively light weight and well over 400 hp which seems to be the current high performance formula, you will quickly overpower the traction and aerodynamics of the car and then you are toast unless you really know what you are doing and all the electronic safety measures in the world aren't going to save you. I am in no way an expert on vehicle dynamics so if I am fortunate enough to own a supercar, I will spend a great deal of time learning how to properly handle the car, the best example has to be my friend's Z06 in a straight line, I could not stop grinning, but I came very close to loosing it on a pretty tight right hand turn and I knew then it was time to hand him back the keys..........

Keep in mind that there's a difference between theory and practice. I'm pretty good at vehicle dynamics but, you don't think of theories when your about to understeer or crash. At that point, practice is where it's at!

I rather crash a GT-R than a Ferrari or Lambo. I see high insurance rates for GT-Rs drivers...hehe...

Come on fan boys...majority of crashes are driver error. Most likely the case since people are going to play with their go fast cars.

It's all the drivers fault, he probably tried to pull a fast one and overtake and hit someone head on. I learned how to drive on the roads of Bangladesh easily one of the worlds most dangerous and unpredictable places to drive, but if u can drive there, u can drive anywhere.

Well that sucks. The sad thing is is the driver probably didn't give a tiny rats @$$ about what he just did.

Maybe the dealership should have told him that unlike grand tourismo, real life doesnt have a reset button.

Honestly, What a douche & What a waste. I think he should be sentenced to community service or driving a Chevy Aveo for a year.

Seems like they don't know AWD need to be 4 wheels off the ground when they towing it.
