New renderings of Saturn's Camry and Accord rival

Opel gave us a preview of the styling direction for the new Insignia sedan when it unveiled the GTC Concept car back at March’s Geneva Motor Show and now we have a preview as to what the final production version may look like. There’s a lot of significance riding on this model because this is the car that will be sold in the US as the next-gen Saturn Aura and it may even make it to other markets where GM cars are sold such as Australasia and South America. The new mid-size sedan will make its debut at next year’s British Motor Show in July.

Europe should see the new Insignia in showrooms soon after July’s launch, however the US won’t get to see its version of the car, the new Saturn Aura, until 2010 at the earliest. The US models will also likely get some minor styling revisions to suit North American tastes.

Yeah, what ever happened to Ford's old advertising mantra to the effect that "Ford listens"? Could it be that there has been so much staff turnover, layoffs etc. that this mantra disappeared from Ford's corporate culture?

Very LEXUS ES-350 looking.

Especially that profile with its 'Flying Buttress' C-Pillar...

Still very handsome, so let's hope that this holds a bit of validity.

I caught a lot of ES350 there too. Still nice, but still looks a bit like a lot of other cars.

I think that rear door/window line is just about used on 90% of all cars today.
