2008 DETROIT AUTO SHOW: WORLD EXCLUSIVE- Sneak Peek Inside the Show- ONE DAY EARLY!
Dear 001,

I was working the show floor today at the 2008 Detroit Auto Show seeing all the booths and cars getting the finishing touches before the 'media only' days start tomorrow.

I just happened to have my trusty SPY camera so here are the 78 photos I took for the AutoSpies.com audience to enjoy.

I'm a HUGE fan of your site and it's only fitting that the best auto site on earth (I wonder if there are auto sites on other planets) have these shots first.

Check out the sneak of of the Lexus LF-A Roadster, a new Mitsubishi concept, a Chrysler X6-like crossover-type vehicle, Hyundai Genesis Sedan and others.

Security is REALLY tight in here today so I'm hoping one of the Spies faithful will do the world a favor and post this on Digg.com for the rest of the world to enjoy!

Can't wait to see your gallery tomorrow!

And 001, I found your girl at the show already...her name is Afrodita! See pic below!

wow, didnt expect lexus to bring out something new like a roadster. however, i dont think its the LF-A cause i think that that supercar is just going to be a coupe.

perhaps its the LF-C which would give us a glimpse into the next SC460

im interesting in seeing what direction Lexus decides to take with this car right now its in an odd spot in the market, not really in the XKR, SL, XLR, 650i price range....but also more expensive than the 3 series, a4, 9-3 crowd. The clk seems to be its only direct competitor price wise. i wonder if they will take it further up market to compete with the 75+ crowd, or downmarket closer to the CLK. Im curious to see what the X6 looks like in person it looks good from some angles, and odd from others

I'm going to go out on a limb and state:

Anything Lexus brings out to replace the hideous, hump-backed, ill-concieved SC430 will be an improvement.

The 'next' IS-350R?

There was never a 1st IS-350R, so how could there be a 'next'?

I would rather they did wait for Chicago, so I could go to the debut (-:

Wow, that Audi booth is stunning. Very cool, down to the seats used for the press conference.

The X6 definitely catches my eye...

Mary J. Blige is a fine woman and singer but WHY so many photos of her. And please why have that many pics of Maroon5 and Kid Rock?
