Here are the first in person shots of the new Mercedes GLK we told you about last August.

Mercedes-Benz used Sex in the Citie's Kim Catrall as the spokesmodel for the new SUV.



It is VERY attractive in person and it's best attribute is the interior.
We also loved the flat white exterior paint they showed.

The design is a boxier version of the current GL-Class combined with some 1980s Mercedes styling elements, notably the boxy shapes of the W201 and W124: it's called retro design.

The exterior is okay if you like the boxy look. Its not me but its okay. The interior is the problem. Looks like they designed it with a ruler. Real straight and boxy. Not a good look. They better not extend this look to the E CLass.

The rear does look peculiarly like the last-generation Highlander. The whole way to church this morning, we were behind one.

I am wondering exactly how small this truck is. That woman up there beside it looks as big as a dinosaur standing next to it.

Rims look aftermarket and dont even fit the car. Exterior looks too boxy, and the interior looks like it came of the 80's.... I dont like it. The X3 is starting to shine :P

The shape of the dashboard area over the nav screen resembles the rectangular shape of the W124, that is all I can see though.

Looks like its from 2001. I expect better from MB, but then again, BMW failed in the compact SUV segment as well (in the looks department). Maybe Audi will get it right with the Q5.
