Detroit Auto Show: Corvette ZR1 left out of the green spotlight
GM, this year had three press conferences, one for the Hummer HX and Saab 9-4x biofuel vehicles, one for the Cadillac Provoq, CTS-V & CT Concept and one for the Saturn Vue plug-in hybrid & Flextreme hybrid. GM put their green progress and green image front and center on each big, splashy press conference. Yet while even the not-so-green-but-oh-so-mean CTS-V & CT Coupe Concept slipped in, the brutal-supercar-slaying ZR1 went without introduction. Which means one of two things, either the ZR1’s fire-breathing performance was so unprecedented that even GM’s public relations gurus were left utterly speechless and unable to muster a whisper on it, or it’s less-than-green credentials...

EVerything about the ZR1 is great for enthusiast! I doubt the ZR1 will break any MPG records but from what I hear no other car with the same power output is even close.
