North Carolina in Running for Volkswagen Plant

North Carolina is one of several states being considered as sites for a new automotive plant that Volkswagen wants to build in the U.S., according to several media reports.

Automotive Week, Business Week magazine and Bloomberg all said in recent days that Volkswagen could soon announce plans for a U.S. factory. Both the Carolinas as well as Georgia and Kentucky are in the running, they said.

You can thank to Jennifer Granholm who can't seem to do anything right for the State of Michigan. VW/Audi already moved their HQ out of the state, so why would they even consider building a factory here.

North Carolina has many beautiful places. I visited a relative in Emerald Isle on the eastern coast about two years ago and almost moved there from New York.
