Somehow i think this is photoshopped because the fron overhang looks too long. besides the looks in front and behind look gimmicky or cartoon-like. Infinity never drops the ball on looks, so I don't think this is the new FX. Except it's an aftermarket job corrently being worked on by an aftermarker manufacturer in europe.

I am not sure if it is a photoshop or not. It doesn't look that great from the front, but the rear has a decent design. The part that tells me its not a photoshop or aftermarket job is that the rear hatch has a different shape than the current FX since it extends over the rear taillights in the body where as the current one doesn't. hopefully it is still in testing and they will put a new front end on it. (And Infiniti reads these comments)

trust me,....this is NOT the 2009/10 FX.
You should all remember that Infiniti doesnt EVER let sneak photos out in advance of this quality,...if so, someone would be falling on their sword about now !!!

Be patient,....remember all the faked coupe photos from japanese car mags before the G-37 came out?

Of all the major car manufacturers, Infiniti is the BEST at keeping their newest lines out of the sights of the spy photographers.

Maybe hollywood types should take note her and get Infiniti to hide their endeavors,.......(on second thought, naaawwwww )

Bonsai!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1

Yikes!! that front is awful! this is all awful! since the Detroit show, i've been talking alot about how some cars should try to stay with the concept style and do minimal changes. well thats out the door. i hope this suv does not stay like that!

I was hoping for more of a change from favorite SUV behind the X5(soon to become the X6) than this it just looks like a big EX now which i dont like. hopefully the final product will be just amazing as the first sans the cheap interior. Thats the one thing that stopped me from buying it, im really looking forward to this car

Yep. Simply depressing.. crap.

I love the current FX and think that the only real change should go into the interior and only MINOR changes to the exterior. MINOR.

The exterior changes here are not welcomed!

It looks like a Hyundai Veracruz, which isn't a good thing. I hope that the new FX will have the better interior like the EX. I got to sit in an EX yesterday and it was actually a very nice SUV. I think Infiniti is starting to get better, but not with this design.

As dismayed as some of you seem to be with this FX restyle, it's rather difficult to deny that this is (probably) The Real Thing, though I'll reserve my opinion until some official photos surface.

This thing is butt ugly, what in the hell did they do to the FX?
They DEFINITLY need to redesign this; it will be a total failure.

At least it is unique. It will be refreshing to see this on the road amidst a sea of Lexus RXs and Mercedes MLs.

The G37 is beautiful; I dare you to go the Infiniti dealer and see it in person.

THIS "thing," however, is a monstrosity.

To you maybe; I think the g37 is ugly as hell, just like its cousin, the altima coupe.

I don't think that's the new FX. Certainly the New FX will have more visual changes than just new headlights.
That's a photoshop.

Click the link! There is no chance in hell that it could be photoshopped that cleanly! Unfortunately, it's real!

I like it. It's radical, just like the original FX was when it came out, and I think it's aged well.

If this is the new FX, I give Infiniti credit for pushing the envelope a little. I get tired of everything looking like everything else. You certainly won't mistake that for anything else.

"To fix this car, all you would really need to do is to smooth off the headlights and tailights flush with the contour of the sheet metal, redesign the contour of the headlights and the tailights, change the grill, change the protruding front bumper, get rid of the bulges on the sides of the hood, square off the circular perimeter of the big rear spoiler at the top of the rear glass and make it a little smaller, and take off those silly sharp thingies that you see immediately above the rear taillights."

So, basically, the current FX? I love the current FX, protruding taillamps be damned.

hey i know...lets all make assumptions on design direction, ugliness factor, engine size etc....when we dont even know the the HELL this is! how about some of you just relax and not write a novel until you know what it is you are commenting on.

Excuse me, but what else do you expect us to do? This is the REAL CAR. It is the new Infiniti FX, with NO camouflage, so it's easy for us to see the overall design.

I actually kind of like it although I'd probably take the X6 over it. Its no more radical looking than when the original was introduced and I remember people being firmly divided over its looks then. Now they're pushing that envelope a bit further. Like others have said, it will no doubt stick out amongst its competitors have people talking, which it has already started.

The headlights and taillights look like ancient torture devices.

Of course so do the head & taillights on the Solara.

I think Infiniti is making a mistake messing with a winning formula. Although the current generation resembles a boot it actually looks good from many angles. This thing here looks like a Nissan Roague on steriods.

Looks more like a refresh than a new design.I think they changed it as much as they could with the limited funds nissan has.

Can't really tell much from that one picture, I would need to see more pictures and from different angles. I have faith they will approve on the FX design, because they did an AWESOME job with the G37. So I will wait to see more pictures.

First I thought the g coupe couldnt get any uglier, then they proved me wrong with the g37. I thought the fx was the bottom of the suv barrel (with only the fj cruiser and rx350 being as ugly) and couldn't get uglier, then these photos appear. Thanks nissan, you proved me wrong again.

Appears that the looks are not desired. I do not think any current FX fans will not want to hear how nice the New FX handles and rides but looks ugly! :-P

In the link there is a pic in a thread with a much better version of the new FX that I believe is the real version.

As for the G37. I think it looks cleaner than the G35. After driving and having friends that switched from G to IS and stating the IS is a better ride...I agree.
