Actually, a well equipped compact SUV from MB in the mid 30k range will probably be a big hit. The buyer of this vehicle, or the X3 for that matter, is not quite as interested in 0-60 times or power to weight ratios as some of you folks seem to think is so important. And as much as some of won't want to hear this, the fact the GLK has a 3 pointed star on the grill, will make it even more desireable in this price range.

I didn't know the ML was a flop. I rather like that SUV. Especially the 550! I think the GLK is okay from the outside but that the inside is utterly hideous.

I think the general design is good but find this 'concept' to be ugly - the two tone paint, Pep-Boy rims and Zebra inspired interior make the car look C-H-E-A-P.

Thanks for the offer, but I already have a lawn mower.

The sales numbers will speak for themselves with this car. This entire forum is ANTI GLK for some reason which I can not figure out. The car does have distinction and some merit yet the Merc hater Toyo praisers fail to see it.

The BMW X3 isnt a particularly good looking vehicle and look how it's selling. The trend is going smaller and more economical these days and people dont want to give up a Mercedes for a Toyota. The bottom line is that in the end this car is a Mercedes-Benz, and people out there highly desire cars like Mercedes-Benz whether you would like to believe it or not.

Why don't we like this car?

It looks like it was designed with a ruler, inside and out.

SO what? one can say its industrial design. Just because its not a glob or curvy (which was the goal) like every other compacr SUV in the segment doesnt mean its a bad car.
