Production Camaro not coming to major auto shows this year

If you had your hopes up after hearing rumors that the production Chevrolet Camaro will make its debut at the 2008 Chicago Auto Show, you’ll be pretty disappointed after reading this. The folks at Chevy are saying that you won’t find the production Camaro at any auto shows until a year from now.

I got to see the concept Camaro and that's a mean looking car. Hopefully they don't change the production model too much.

Personally, my enthusiasm for the vehicle has long waned.

The concept-to-production time can no longer be justified at this point, so this baby had better be one Extraordinary Performance Vehicle... or It's Doomed To Fail!

yawn. Still a great car but I'm losing my interest fast. The thing gets made for the Transformers movie that came out 7-4-07. Which means taping for that film was done months and months before. The whole car broke cover and all we have yet to be told is the interior design and actualy HP #'s of the 6 and 8 cylinder and possibly Z28 and SS models. This is like the Dodge Challenger that is taking forever to reach production.

With all the technology nowadays I understand that they want to get the rebirth of a classic just right, but at some point you need to put your pencils down and start building.

OMG how long will this take! By the time they release it the new Mustang will crush it due to the fact the Camaro will be so old and everyone has become bored of it!!
