This will be my next car!! Can't wait for the NY Show. Does anyone know if one of the smaller autoo shows will have an X6 on display?

Nope, I just went to Washington DC autoshow. They didn't have em. Very dissapointed.

But they had the new M3 :)

I agree with 001 that BMW's design language makes other makes such as Audi, Lexus, etc., look old fashioned.

You haven't seen an Audi S5...

Or the R8...

But either way, what is wrong with having classic styling? Cars should all look different so that different people have CHOICE. Nobody should, or ever WILL have a monopoly on style.

S4, I've actually been in an S5 and I was extremely disappointed. It wasn't well built at all. When I shut the door, it sounded like a rusted 1975 Honda Civic door would sound. It squeaked, rattled, and made a banging sound. Plus, the interior wasn't very comfortable. It's a disappointing car.

S4, I literally just got back from the NAIAS just now and I did see the S5. Frankly I was less impressed with it in person than I was in photos. It's good looking but not particularly striking and basically blended right into the rest of the Audi's lineup, and while the interior was nice I was looking for the "over the top better than the competition" that everyone always praises Audi for. It wasn't there. The red leather and aluminum trim interior frankly wasn't any nicer than the red leather and black wood trim interior in a 335i Coupe. Considering the price the only saving grace for the car is that they're trying to market it as a 6-Series competitor and it's a lot less expensive than that is. If people agree with the marketing (a tough sell considering the 6 doesn't have any 4 cyl or 6 cyl engines here) then great, but if they look at it as a 3-Series coupe competitor (only now much more expensive) Audi has a problem. You can get an M3 for S5 money.

The good news? The R8 looks better in person than I expected. And the new A4 is the best looking car in the class (from outside -- inside it's the same deal as the A5/S5). They'll sell the hell out of those to people looking for exterior style though. With the new C-class and A4 exteriors looking as good as they do BMW needs a facelift for the 3-Series sedan ASAP (and they're getting one in October).

S4 - I have seen an S5. Please visit an Audi forum if you want to read opinions or viewpoints deem Audi as the only worthy carmaker in the world.

I was just at the show this past weekend. I'm really liking the X6. I'm happy to see BMW is really gonna pull this one off. I wasn't too sure, when the spy shots came out. BTW I'm really digging these new red shades from BMW (X6, 135i), and the CTS.

Quite an overated vehicle if you ask me. The Q7 has an archedslope line in the rear, is no where near deemed less impressive than an X5. Suv's are meant to be Suv's. SAV's are not masculine and dont scream i mean businness. The only SUV that could be let off this is the new spyker, and bmw doesn't give off that same vibe or status, nor will it ever...

Actually, the X5 makes the Q7 look like a minivan. Especially in terms of curves etc.
