The book BMW's competitors don't want you to see

Check out the sticker BMW is placing on the driver side window of their new car windows at dealers in the USA.

What a great way to impact the customers impressions as they shop for cars at the dealership.

Could this message be the last piece of info the customer needs to make a final decision in favor of a BMW?

We say, maybe yes and it's clever marketing.

Thumbs up Banglelites!

I believe that KBB projects the future value of a model based on its historical performance. Thus, it seems a little misleading for KBB and BMW to assert that the current Bangle Mangles being sold at BMW dealerships will hold their value as well as the prior generation 5's, 7's and other models, which were far superior in design and ergonomics. People who own the prior generation models have less incentive to trade them in for the current models and may wait for the next generation styling. This, in turn reduces the supply of the older models, which increases their value. For example, Consumer Reports rated the prior generation 5-series the best car they EVER tested! Why trade it in? On the other hand, it is difficult to imagine how a current model 7-series will be worth much of anything three years hence when the next generation 7 is introduced... unless Bangle returns for an encore!

Readers should educate themselves to get the "un-spun" story. Apple Computet Inc., sells "the world's most advanced operating system", yet they own just 2.8% of the US market (down from ~3% last year), and less that 2% world-wide (and steadily declining).

The un-spun truth is that BMW makes unattractive vehicles, and styling is the Number One reason why a consumer will avoid a specific model (JD Powers & Assoc). An ever-declining percentage of the buying public is buying BMWs. That's a rather significant statement that is best avoided when the Spin Doctors are doing their work.

Kbb is a crappy book written for auto dealers. I take it with a grain of salt no matter who's side its on.
