2009 Toyota Corolla pricing announced - raised by $845

Toyota has raised the price of the world’s best-selling car by 5.9 percent after a redesign that includes a new engine, chassis and a bigger interior. The 2009 Toyota Corolla will carry a starting price tag of $15,250, $845 more than the model it replaces.
The 2009 Toyota Corolla will be available in two engine variants including a 1.8-liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 132 horsepower and a 2.4 liter 4-cylinder engine that produces 158 horsepower. It will come in five trim levels – Standard, LE, XLE, the sporty S, and the performance-driven XRS.
