Nissan 370Z coming to Paris Motor Show with 330hp
Back in August 2007 while flipping through Motor Trend, we found a little article reporting that Nissan will be rebadging the 350Z as a 370Z, replacing the 3.5 liter unit with the Infiniti G37’s 3.7 liter engine. That will give the 350Z an output boost of 30 horsepower for a total of 330.

A print version of AutoCar is now reporting that the 370Z will make its official debut at the Paris Motor Show this fall and will go on sale in 2009 as a 2010 model.

Well let’s hope for a little improvement in the...

zzzzzzzz
A little more power is useless at this point. What's needed is a complete redesign and for the porky Z to go on the ultra slim fast plan

What are you talking about? This thing weighs less than the BMW 1 Series.

Apparently you haven't seen the spy shots of whats supposed to be the next Z. Its actually going to be much smaller than the current model. Couple that with the new engine and it should see some considerable performance gains.

Cayman level? A 350z? Ahh, JUGNU "the car guy", always good for a laugh...

Actually Jugnu is correct. And if you're looking into a 1-series, (the 135 that is) the only real competitors are the Z, Cayman and even the 335. Unless your badge conscious, which, then you're just a loser.

No redesign? This car definitely needs to be redesigned.

There is no way a 350Z has the handling finese of the Cayman, let alone a base Boxster. An RX8 has more handling finese then the Z. The Z is a bruizer currently with it's current chassis and excessive weight. Obviously Nissan knows how to make good handling cars as evident by the GTR.However one should look towards the complete redesign to see how much GTR DNA comes down to the Z.

Jim Wolf turbo kit would make this very interesting.

The dullards on this site will say anything without thinking. Freeagent, the Z weighs 316 lbs less than the 135. You and your girlfriend could sit in the Z, fuel it with 20 gallons of premium, and it would have the same curb weight as the 135.

And JRobUSC- I'm sure Jugnu- who owns a multi-brand car dealership in DUbai- has a lot more exposure to sporting brands than you do.

While on the subject, lets not discount the fact that you could buy a 350Z AND a 370Z for about the same price as a Boxster.

Since I've driven a Z and a Cayman and owned an RX8 for 2 yrs,I do know what I'm talking about.A Cayman costs more then a Z but you get more for your money in my opinion. No it's not worth 15 grand more then a Z but it's a better driving sports car period. In fact while an RX8 will not hold a candle to a Z in a straight line I think it handles better then a Z.Nissan has the capability to build a better Z and I'm sure they will when version 2 comes out.

If you consider the fact that this is the stripped down G37, just imagine what the GTR will be in Infiniti guise. Build it! It will sell!
