Maserati Chicane Concept

Maserati Chicane Concept
One of the more stunning concept cars set to debut at March’s Geneva Motor Show won’t be the creation of some overpaid and stuffy professional designer, instead it will be the work of a group of students from Italy’s famed Istituto Europeo di Design (IED). The new concept is the full-scale Maserati Chicane coupe concept, a design which draws obvious cues from the current GranTurismo but has a unique and modern look of its own.

This will be the fifth year in a row that students from IED will be showcasing a new concept at Geneva, and sponsorship for the project this came from the likes of Pirelli, Cecomp and OZ Racing. The final concept will stretch 4,400mm in length and is designed to feature 2+2 seating capacity and a front-mounted V8 engine.

Pretty Interesting Concept, though I'm not understanding the 'portholes' in the doors - Hmmm?

Note: Didn't I submit this article earlier yesterday than 2045... LOL!

similar lines to the c8 competizion, except for more concept-ish details like the headlights and the side windows look like bug eyes.
Overall a nice looking car, it'll be interesting if they actually put it in production

I dont like it.

The name almsot sounds like Chicano, another word for Mexican American (in the sense of native-born Americans of Mexican ancestry, as opposed to Mexican natives living in the States.

However A chicane is a sequence of tight serpentine curves (usually an S-shape curve or a bus stop) in a roadway, used in motor racing and on city streets to slow cars. On modern raceways

Whatever it is the name isnt appealing and neither is the car.

Someone needs to tell Maserati that they were supposed to release the GranTurismo concept BEFORE the production version.

The Granturismo is my favorite car in its own price range. It is nothing short of spectacular in every sense of the word.
