VW Scirocco brochure leaked

Although prototypes of Volkswagen’s upcoming Scirocco hatch have already been spotted, this is the first time images of the car are available without any camo gear. Admittedly we don’t get to see much of the new model but we do finally see the final shape of the headlights, part of the flanks and a glimpse of the interior.

Now that brochures have been printed, it’s highly likely the first production models are already being assembled at VW’s Portugal plant. Both FWD and AWD models will be available, along with DSG transmissions plus turbodiesel and petrol engines. A range topper could even be offered with the Golf R32’s torquey V6.

Sweet! It looks exactly like the concept! It will be a hoot to drive.

My one gripe? The interior is exactly like the Jetta/Golf/EOS. I wish they'd give it its own design.

Look at this car alongside the BMW concept CS picture. It's interesting how the small Scirocco picture (on this page) resembles a mix of BMW CS and the last generation BMW 3 series.* I wish it were coming here also!

If you saw the full body, you wouldn't think that at all. I can see why you'd say that--IN THIS PICTURE. But look up the VW "IROC" concept and you'll be enlightened.

I was under the impression that the Bangle Butt was a profile in which the "Trunk Lid sits on top of the Trunk surrounds instead of Sitting Flush "

That would mean the New MB S-Class had a Bangle Butt.

The LS 460/600h has a Flush Mounted Trunk Lid.

If i am wrong please let me know asap.

It needs to come to the US. We don't need 2 high performance Golfs. Doesn't the R32 sell in limited numbers. The Sirroco could come in at a lower price point. I say stop importing the R32,stop importing the Jetta GLI and make the GTI a 4DR. Then bring in the Sirocco.
