I could bring my 85 745i turbo 16psi 399 rear wheel hp and 496 lb/ft torque to the rear wheels and spank 90% of them but I don't think my "old school" BMW would be cool enough as rare as it is, since that model was never offered in the U.S. and there are less than 200 known to exist in the U.S. oh well.

some kid with a tricked out honda civic would likely spank your 745 totally.

they've beat out corvettes. a 399 hp six banger would hardly be a snack, much less breakfast.

Well I raced my friends GTO 6.0 Litre Auto and beat him twice. Yeah they would kick me off the line but on the highway I have yet to be matched by any ricer including a slightly modded 3000gt VR4 turbo. I'm talking horsepower at the wheels, whats actually put to the ground and 496lb/ft of torque is nothing to laugh at. I have spanked mustangs and Camaros on the freeway many of times. A guy I go to church with has a Mustang GT with intake, exhaust throttle body and mild cam and I smoked him on many occasions. I have had that car to 165mph back in 2004. Of course I don't drive like that anymore. 90% of them just have bolt ons and that is nowhere near enough to hang with my 745i. ask anyone who has been in one pushing 16psi of boost at 91psi of fuel pressure. I Embarrased a boxster S once on I-20 west toward Dallas. I know my car might not sound like much but it will run. My Sales manager had an 04 evo with intake and exhaust and ecu programing and I beat him everytime we hit the interstate on the way to work and his car was pushing over 300hp. what kills my car in town is the 2.91 ratio which makes it a sloth off of the line then the turbo kicks in and its gone. I can get 65mph in first so its no stoplight racer, But on the highway it is very fast.

And my boss S2000 ecu programing, headers intake and valve job. That car sure as hell does scream though running at 9700 rpm.

The reason I say 90% is because most of them arent really built up. Most have bolt on mods. Mostly intake and exhaust, nothing serious under the hood. 10% of them are seriously fast. Now Cars like the Supras 350Z's Skylines, ETC are a different story because they are easy to make fast. At the Flywheel I am almost positive I am right at 500hp if you take 20% drivetrain loss for an automatic away that leaves 400hp so pulling 399 hp to the wheels and 496 lb/ft on the dyno is alot of power for only re-programing the ecu, modifying the wastegate and adding a cartech rising rate fuel pressure regulator and a manual boost controler. Everything on the engine including the fuel system is stock. even the intake and exhaust are stock except the drop in K&N Filter. If I re-worked the heads and installed the intake they sell with 6 more injectors and a high flow fuel pump I can get much more. not to mention a better turbo than the KKK K27 Which was also used in the Porsche Whale Tail race car back in the 80's and you gotta give my old car credit. Thats a pretty impressive dyno run for a stock engine with only increased boost.

ahh. few sounds as beautiful as a high output, high revving 4! even saucier on sportbikes winding up to 15,000 rpm!

sounds like your 745 is an awesome machine too!

Why God Why!!!? I hope the rumors are right, and the writers strike as soon to be over. Cause movies like this don't need to made. Well, maybe if it's straight to DVD.

LexusJosh is on his way there as we speak, in his dad's toyota to tell them he is getting the Lexus IS250 who will smoke all of the other cars on the set with the power of stickers like "performance" and "tubo"!

If they're interested in "one wheel" burnouts, I'll gladly demo my bird-shi**ed mustang V6. They can just pan to the one side of the car where all of the power is going; no one will ever know.

lol so u got a one tire fryer huh. nice one. I could bring my land rover also and "Drag" race the others....Literally....Drag them down the track lol. I hope this one is more realistic as far as engine sounds. That fake blow off valve sound on the first one was so damn annoying.

how did Tokyo Drift make enough money to justify a 4th in the series?

Im sure they will manage to pick some profoundly lame examples, remember that 2.0 Jetta from the first movie? Ugh!

I'm wondering why they want 'tricked-out Excursions?' I thought those were long dead?
