I find the side profile of this vehicle nice looking but not practicle for daily use. I hate the front end (well i hate the front end of all bmw's for some reason they just look depressed to me). The back looks quite nice. Interior as usual with bimmers are not upto standards in looks but i'm pretty sure they used exceptional quality materials.
This suv/sav/sac will surely sell well because there are some people out there who buy suv's just for the raised seating position over regular vehicles and do not care much for the trunk and rear seating space. In my opinion it is an overall good vehicle and will be fun to drive and hopefully for BMW will sell very well. Good Job BMW another fantastic vehicle to add to your line up.

Fanboys much of this is just my opinion so no point deboosting me and unlike some idiots here I understand that all (well maybe excluding indian and chinese ones)cars have there ups and downs no brand is superior than another in everything it all comes down to personal preference.
People who like a very involving drive and simple interiors will appreciate BMW's
People who like to have a comfortable ride with some fun would choose Mercedes
People who need a superior AWD system and good looking interiors would opt for Audi
People who like comfortable ride, toys to play around with and a nice interior would prefer Lexus.
People who want sporty drive with good looks and nice interior and want a cheaper option to the afore mentioned brands would opt for an infiniti
Etc...
All brands and cars have there ups and down no point arguing which one is better

The only SUV within $20,000 of its price that will have a nicer interior is the Range Rover.

Don;t hate me but what is so exciting about this X6? really? I don't find it apealling at all! There's so much hype from the industry regarding this vehicle. BMW should focus their attention with the X5 market! When will the next X 6 and 1/2 be out or even X 7 and 1/2!? Im young guy and my friends and i don't get it! Sorry BMW love u other cars but this one is a dud! In fact I want a true BMW driver to answer this. question! someone who is driving and owns a BMW!

Its different, it has amazing engines, its sexy imo, the handling will be great, the interior looks good, and it looks halo.

IMO, this car is more appealing than a 5 Series, although it can't quite match the allure of the M5.

I'm not crazy about BMW's proliferation of models, but I can appreciate the fact that they're going after a niche market here and not another mainstream, volume market. You may not love the execution here, nor does the world really need a gas-sucking pig, and it seems many don't get the point of this car.

No one who buys this will care that the backseat or trunk space isn't large. It's aimed at (and this is just my guess) men who'd otherwise buy an FX45, Range Rover Sport or Cayenne - mostly for themselves, with the occasional need to carry people or stuff. It's not a family shuttle.

Personally, I like the details of the design (front, back) and the interior, but I can't get past the profile with the fat, high body and sloping roof.

I think it will be pretty successful initially, and then taper off, kind of like a Benz CLS.

As for the comments on the interior quality...I haven't seen this yet, but I test drove an X5 this weekend, and I was very impressed...much better than I thought it would be inside (and drove better than I expected it to also). I've had 3 Audis, all with fantastic interiors (previous gen A6s and an allroad), and I recently test drove a Q7. While quality and design are still high, IMO the Q7 isn't as nice as the older Audis nor the new X5.

I hadn't actually looked through the brochure before... WOW. Am I excited to see this thing at the show today!

I saw one of these "things" last week on a test drive out of SC. All the BMW badges were masked and it had a black stripe down the side. I saw it drive up and park at the Sugar Shack on Tybee Island, two guys got out. I drove up and asked them this: "What's the point?" "Why not an X5 or a 5 series wagon?" They best they could do was shrug their shoulders! In my book that says it all. This is a truly a marketing ploy by BMW and fits no niche in the market. You would have thought they would have learned something from Benz and the dismal R Class.
