AUTO SPIES EXCLUSIVE: 911 killer?

Happy New Year Number 1.

Sorry it's been so long, been in Germany for weeks.

God, I hate Germany!

Its full of wierd food and even more strange people. (Sorry to disappoint you Dr., but strange people are in EVERY country these days)

Heaven in finding a golden "M" and I hate burgers too!

Have you heard this story?

Apparently Porsche will be selling the new Boxster Coupe at around $65,000.

People in Stuttgart have told me that the Boxster Coupe will not be a cheap way into 911 circles, as people had hoped, and that the 2.7-litre motor will not appear at all.

The Boxster Coupe is being touted as a track-day, thrill-a-minute kind of plaything, rather than a cheap 911 because Porsche learned from the 3.2 Boxster Convertible that buyers would not purchase 911 Cabriolets in the light of cheaper options.

The 911 is very profitable for the Germans and I am assured that it's flagship image will not be tarnished for a few extra sales via a Boxster Coupe, this appears to be the opinion of senior management.

Personally this pleases me greatly as I have a new 911 arriving in March.

Look for the intro of the boxster coupe in the USA this August...

The food in Germany is some of the best I've ever had. You can't get pork like that in the United States. When is the last time you had a pork chop that wasn't dried out like a fart. Oh, and the beer is the best anywhere. When I came back to the States, I couldn't drink any beer for two months. It all tasted like soda pop.

Oh, and I'd never buy a Boxster, the front end is butt ugly.
