Other GM brands may get a variant of the Chevy Volt
In an annual all-brand meeting today, GM told dealers that other GM brands may be getting a variant of the Chevrolet Volt in the near future. Lynn Thompson, who owns Thompson Sales Co. in Springfield, Mo., said that GM said the Volt’s powertrain could be applicable to other GM brands.

“It was just a passing comment, but my eyes popped out. I would hope they would share the wealth a little bit.”

Maybe GM should focus on building the one Volt before talking it up as several variants.

Lord GM, stop already! Can't a version of at least one of your cars be true to one brand? I guess now we can see the following:
Chevrolet Volt
Pontiac Power Amp
Saturn Electron
Buick Tricity (as in electricity)
Cadillac DCS (Direct Current S)

LOL! GM, GM, today you reported huge loss for 2007, lose some of these brands and make one great one! Or 3 great ones!
