Here's Your Spy Mission- Spies Put Bounty On 2009 Acura TSX Photos
Even though the car won't be officially shown until the 2008 New York Auto Show, the Spies want everyone to see the 2009 Acura TSX early.

So we're giving you a chance to be a spy and telling you the location of where you can photograph the new TSX.

The press drive is being held in downtown San Diego as we speak at the US Grant hotel, so ANYONE with a camera can get shots of the cars driving around San Diego over the next few days.

www.usgrant.net

The best time to photograph them is early in the morning at the hotel as they are handing them out to members of the press to drive.Get the best photos of the TSX and email them to us at autospies@gmail.com  and you will win a brand new Passport 8500 Blue radar detector for your hard work!

Remember, the official launch for this car is the 2008 NY Auto Show so you can brag to all your friends and get nationwide notoriety if you snap these pics early and get them up on AutoSpies.com!

We can't do it ourselves because we are in Northern California testing some new BMW's so here's your chance to earn your '00' status!

Why go through all the trouble if you guys hate Acura so much? Sounds like a typical German fan that wants to sabatage sales, just like a bootlegger or maybe better stael the design theme " the goofy theme that is" retards

I think the Spies are doing something cool and everyone just comes along and puts then down for coming up with a fun idea. I may not be an Acura fan either, but it's a good idea nonetheless.

It is pretty classic though how they are like: "Sorry, were testing a BMW, go take some photos and will give a you a radar detector thingie."

What's with the Mazda grille?

The new Accord is MUCH better looking. It doesn't look like this. And it costs less. MSRP? Arrogantly higher than the car is worth, I assume.

I don't mind the new grille on the TSX

BMW3Series, Acura offers more luxury features than a comparable bmw model or just about anything in the class. That was a retarded comment. Again most consumers couldn't care less if the car is front or rear-wheel drive, people want features, and quality, and style. That last one is based on the person looking at or buying it. Be realistic, if Acura isn't luxury, then why do so many people still buy them?

Blakura,

What about the RL? How is that selling? How do you like the new RL's "style"? And why didn’t you respond on any of the Acura RL threads? LOL!

The only feature that Acura has that is better than BMW is the Navigation system, and a better looking interior. BMW kicks Acura Butt seriously in handling and performance.

If Acura creates cars for people who don’t care about the car being FWD or RWD then guess what? That makes Acura a non-enthusiast brand. No different that Toyota. At least Lexus Offers performance, what does Acura offer that makes them Special?

Answer: Nothing

Acura is a lame, dying brand in need of an overhaul. I question the Sanity of any person who thinks that Acura Builds Competitive cars.

to Lexsucks,

Go drive an Acura and tell me about the performance instead of making a quick judgement because it's FWD. Ultimately, RWD is better for handling but don't be so quick to say just because it's FWD it's sh3it. IMHO Honda makes the best FWD vehicles. Same goes for SH-AWD. Don't knock it before you try it.

BTW, the 3 series is a GREAT car. However, with added options the 45k price tag makes cheaper competitors a lot more attractive. Eg. Infiniti G. My gf cross shopped between the IS, BMW, TL, Infiniti G, and C-class and ended up with the TL-S because of the 35k price and she had to have either FWD or AWD.

Why did BMW add the slanty front headlights in their crs during the last 5 years... hmmm i see.. they got their inspiration from all those 90s Japanese coupes and sports cars...

If you all want to see what the new Acura TSX will look like from all angles and the interior shot, just take a look at this site:
http://www.worldcarfans.com/9080211.014/2009-honda-accord-for-europe-unveiled

This is the Honda Accord for Europe. So everything is the TSX minus this hideous grill. You can see tail lamps as well as interior shots, and a wagon we will not get here stateside.

The 09 certainly looks more 'modern', but it also looks a lot 'trendier' and will probably not age as well as the Gen 1, and I (personally) prefer the more aggressive look of the gen 1 VISIBLE twin exhaust tips over the boring looking hidden ones on the 2009 TSX.

I'm pretty sure the 09 TSX exhaust tips will be exposed for the American market. Even your ToV link shows the Tourer with them exposed...the grey car is the base model....

Honda/Acura should be in the business of concept cars and drawings. I had read that the new TSX would be based on the Sports4 concept they showed at auto shows, and it was gorgeous (Google it!). But when the actual cars come out, they never resemble the concepts. It's like Honda has to add a "dork factor" before they OK it for production. So what we have here is a car that looks much like the old TSX, but with some Sports4 design cues (like the wheel arches) tacked on. I was really considering getting one of these based on the concept. Now...no way! I am REALLY disappointed.

Hey Lexsucks, I agree that the redesigned RL looks like a failure based on styling alone, but it has some serious features that make it a value in the market. You can't judge a book by its cover. And yes I did comment on the RL, I wrote a few lines on the first post that came out a few days ago. And by the way, when the '04 TL and '05 RL came out, they were able to run with the competition from BMW especially the TL, they are older designs now, lets wait for the full redo and see what happens. Honda/Acura a successful companies, I'm sure they have a few tricks up their sleeve.
