Nissan GT-R V-Spec to get 550hp, will be 330 pounds lighter

That is going to be one SWEET ride. I just wonder how much it will be. The normal one will cost around $70K. Should we say $80K for the V-Spec? OOUCH!!

Article says ~$20k increase. So "under $100k". Even at a 100% increase it'd still be a good value (not compared to itself but others at that price range).

Good luck about finding one for less than $100K.

The R35 has probably the best chassis in the business, next to the Veyron. A car that will never be beaten for the next 10 years or so.

To me, the 911 Turbo is still slighty faster in a straight line but it loses some territory to the GT-R in the corners. But the steer.. ah what the hell just give that GT-R.

The Veyron has to have a good chassis to be so stable at high speeds. The amazing thing about the Veyron is how refined and stable it is when doing over 250 mph. Most super cars feel like they're about to rip themselves apart when reaching their top speeds, not the Veyron. Plus it's achieved a time of 7:40 around the Nurburgring , not bad for something weighing nearly 2000kg. A modified CRX would not beat it around a track.

Very cool. I think this is great for nissan. Every brand need a halo car, and wow, what a car. Very excited to see these around town soon. Btw, it looks great.

If GT-R keeps this up, we will never see NSX. Sad.

I'll bet if Nissan gets rid of the entire body they could shed another 800 pounds and make the car much more attractive :-)

I'm kinda surprised by this myself. You make a Godzilla powerful machine, then V Spec it. So after dumping all that cash on a GT-R, you can pull up to the guy who dumped a little more has a faster one?? Not really sure where Nissan was going with this, should have just made the GT-R a one model, one engine, take it or leave it. But that's my opinion.

I also thought they dropped the whole V-spec tag. I know the Sentra only has an SE-R and the Altima SE-R. No Specs there. The last Sentra was the better one anyways IMO.

Either way they just made a ridiculously fast car even faster by shaving weight and adding power, wow! I'm impressed, guess this will be the limited production run version.

It might be the Lexus LF-A or share the LF-A chassis, etc., not sure, though.

This car has about as much excitement on the road as a Mazda CX9.

EL34 the only way nissan could of messed up and designed this car to be ugly is if they hired me to do the job...and that's only due to my lack of experience.
