Look out Porsche, Aston opening engineering center at Nurburgring
t looks like a new theme park isn’t the only major construction set to appear at Germany’s N?rburgring circuit. Aston Martin is the latest in a long string of carmakers that have either opened or are planning to open an engineering and design center at the famous race track. Just two months after opening its first ever purpose-built design studio at its Gaydon headquarters in Warwickshire, Aston Martin has confirmed it will open a new test center in Germany.

Work is underway to convert an existing building at a location at Meuspath, adjacent to the famous Nordschleife circuit, and the facility is expected to be operational by the end of May this year.

I don't think Porsche has much to worry about. People who buy Porsches will continue to buy Porsches. People who want Astons will always want Astons.

I agree with S4cabriofoxone. I would buy an aston over a porsche even if they are not the best on track...

agree with S4. Two different buying groups. Both beautiful brands.

Aston should worry about the car starting when you turn the key. Something else Porsche excels at.
