One of the few cars today with a soul

As predicted by the Spies, the new Mercedes CLS is flying off the shelves at MB dealers around the world.

Seems that many of the buyers were originally considering the BMW 6-series but were seduced by the gorgeous lines of the CLS.

We've seem quite a few driving around Southern California and they look even better driving on the roads than in the pictures, if that's possible.

BMW better pray MB doesn't figure out a way to make a convertible version.

Stay tuned...

Can you provide proof that the mercedes banana is flying off the shelves - my anecdotal evidence is quite different. When the 2 door CL coupe was introduced it was selling at a huge premium for months [although the depreciation on them now is horrendous], while the CLS seems to be available at MSRP with no premium and no waiting.

I am surprised by this, because the S class is old, the E class is boring, and I expected the banana (new CLS) to be a huge success - hell I even ordered one, hoping to flip it for a quick profit.

Separately did you see the article in the Financial Times talking about how German Taxi drivers are deserting Mercedes big time, and how Mercedes earnings, sales and respect are all taking a beating in Europe?
