Nissan’s first hybrid system coming to Infiniti in 2010

Nissan looked to Toyota when it offered its first hybrid on the market, the Nissan Altima Hybrid. Engineers have now been working on the company’s own proprietary hybrid system which will be mounted in an Infiniti in order to make its ‘green’ business profitable.

According to Executive Vice President Mitsuhiko Yamashita, Nissan’s first hybrid will be an Infiniti in 2010.

Smart move - a good choice would be the EX: small, (some) utility, AWD, versitile...if they get combined mpg in the high 20's that would be an accomplishment.

If they use the EX they better figure out a way to mount the batteries without giving up any hatch space, because that thing has none as it is.

the Lexus RX400h gets 27/24 fwd and 26/24 awd. But the RX is bigger than the EX. RX goes up against X5. EX goes against X3.

The RX is the only over premium luxury crossover with a hybrid powertrain - that was the comparison.
