Its a nice looking vehicle, but I want to see it in another color than periwinkle metallic. I guess I have to just wait a week until it comes into showrooms.

Either way Clarkson gave his expert opinion. Not that all experts will agree. Glad that some of you fan boys are not in auto mags because your reviews would be biased. For this I respect Clarkson for saying what he believes. Cheers...

Lets wait until we get a review from someone who actually is objective when reviewing a car. Don't get me wrong, I love Clarkson but he's far from unbiased

its a good looking car, compared to the 5 its a work of art!

that being said jaguar hasn't set the bar to high in recent years, so lets see what happens.

Perhaps that is what Jaguar needed to do a long time ago. All their car looked alike... same lines, same cues. It was killing them. This is a very nice departure from the ordinarily old and lame design they've always had.

The XF looks pretty good, and seems far better than the S-type it replaced. Maybe it's a bit too contemporary, but nice.

OTOH, it is only ahead of the German competitors in the opinion of some delusional and/or biased British car fans.

5 series should not be compared... its nothing with benz e class...

The sales will be the answer as in all things. Out of the 10 worst selling cars in the US MY 2007, Jaguar had 3 on it. I previously sold Jaguars and with depth of cars on the market it is actually an afterthought in the market place. They said the same thing about the new XJ. And where is that car?

The XF will be lucky to sell 500 cars a month here. The XF is terribly overweight and has low-tech engines. The XF styling is OK, the back window is ugly, the interior looks a Lincoln Navigator and the back seat is small. This car is a nothing.

Anything Jeremy Clarkson says about any "British" manufacturer is suspect. He has always been a homer. He is not very objective when it comes to "British" car companies.

Guys just checked out the article in autospies, There has been a placed order of over 10,000 XF. This car is going to rock BMW to silts.

Recently drove one. Excellent car; though the front could be better as the concept. Eager to see what the next generation of the fading 5-series have to offer.
