2008 Ford Falcon revealed

2008 Ford Falcon revealed
Ford Australia have launched their all new Ford Falcon, the first new generation in 10 years.

This new model is packed with a great deign, making it a great competitor for the highly dominate Holden Commodore, that debuted a new model in September 2006.

The 'Fairmont' range has not been launched, so it is presumed that it has been discontinued and its replacement is the now-launched Ford Falcon 'G6'.

In addition to this, the car comes with parking sensors as standard on every model (except the entry-level 'XT') and some models have reversing cameras as standard, making this a first for Australian sedans (regarding rear-view cameras on 4-door sedans).

Now, available as an option, is iPod integration and Bluetooth connectivity.

So get ready, Australian motorists, as the car arrives in May 2008.

Thats all for now - check back for more later.

Looks far less like a design refugee from the 1990's, but that grill-work is a bit unsightly... IMO

I love how Ford of Europe/Au sells cars that are usually significantly nicer than what they sell in the US market. I guess if you have people willing to buy and accept Tauruses, Mustangs, and the current domestic Focus, why bother trying to sell them anything of higher quality or standards.

WOW!

Do You Really Desire To Be Perceived As The Least Knowing (Read: DUMBEST) Individual On This Forum, Or Is It Simply An Inevitable Conclusion?

The Ford Falcon Is Not American In Design or Engineering, Nor Is It Sold In The U.S.!

The headlights are very similar to the new A4, now that you mention it.

I have to say that I saw a lot of similiar styling cues, too. The headlights and the shoulder line along the rear quarter panel...it's a tailor look that the last 3 generation of A4 designs have had.

Now I know why my Australian cousin is in love with Fords. I looked at him like he was a certified loon.

Can ford build a car that is not destined to sit on a Hertz parking lot? They have the most boring sedans in the world.
