Rendering: Infiniti-s four-door GT-R

Last week reports emerged claiming Nissan was seriously considering releasing an Infiniti version of the GT-R supercar. In fact, Nissan’s global design Chief Shiro Nakamura admitted officials wanted to launch a high-end Infiniti model as well as dealer Peter Wilson who admitted that a new flagship is on the cars. The latest turn in the story is that a senior Nissan source has confirmed developers are looking at launching a high-performance four-door sedan based on Nissan GT-R running gear.

FYI,

BMW 750i weight = 4486 lbs.

S550 = 4465lbs.

LS460 = 4250lbs.

FYI, if a full size luxury sedan weighs as much as a small sports car problem.....obviously if infiniti were to create a 4 door gtr, which i personally would be a good idea it would of course not be a competitor to the 7 series, S class, A8, crowd

Such a car would serve as a halo model for the brand as it gains a foothold in these new markets."

I'm not a fan of the design of the GT-R coupe. Great performance with a hideous body and interior although I do like the rear. A 4 door GT-R should be interesting.
