Recall Wednesday: Ford Wants Back 470,000 Mustangs

With a comment like that, I give you 3 weeks time here.

"The article is misleading. Ford should be replaced with Toyota and 470,000 with "all Toyota's ever made"

Funny how Toyota fan boys call Toyota's recalls proactive and "good for Toyota" and no other company apparently in their eyes does the same thing. Ford's recall is basically a move to avoid any potential incidence yet not seen the same way.

This recall is not due to any actual accidents but a potential issue. Thus this is a proactive recall. Not saying Ford does not have problem recalls either. As for BMW they have their fair share of recalls. Just google it :)

It is sad but true. Typical Toyota fanboys dont value cars at the same level as real enthusiasts. Sure they are good "get around cars" but nothing that blows away the rest. The only Toyotas made which have somewhat of an enthusiast following is the Supra and the MR2. Even then they arent considered true collectibles.

I say this to Toyota worshippers: OPEN your eyes, and smell the rubber, Dont take my word for it, get out more and experience whats out there.

Toyota's recalls just usually dont tend to be for exploding engines.

And I'm so sick of people not thinking Toyota's have enthusiast followings. The MR2 and Celica have only been off the market for a couple years. And the Land Cruiser has loyal enthusiastic supporters worldwide, and has had them for over 50 years. And being the car that more owners said they would re-purchase (for the second or third year in a row) means we Prius owners are very enthusiastic about our cars. We just have different priorities about what to be enthusiastic about.

I remember a certain recall about cam shafts breaking, which in turn cause the engine to grenade. I dunno about exploding, but...

Actually, was that even a recall?

Somehow, deep down, I know that both of you aren't BMW mechanics, or know any, for that matter.

too bad it wasn't an RL, then the recall would have been about 10k.
i drive fords and i have to admit all those recalls are annoying, though.
