2008 NY Auto Show Preview: Saleen S5S Raptor Concept, E85 ethanol V8

Saleen will be revealing a new concept at the 2008 New York Auto Show later next month. Saleen says that the S5S Raptor is built using an aluminum chassis and composite body panels for weight saving.

Power comes from a supercharged 5.0L V8 that runs on E85 ethanol. Saleen said the estimated top speed will reach in excess of 200mph.

No other details were given along with this teaser sketch, but we expect more to surface before the auto show...

Nothing wrong with being a Nissan driver. I respect all car fans. Lol no matter how much we argue on these boards here about which car is better it's the simple fact we love cars. In the end of the day I think realistically we respect all the performers, uber luxury sedans, and eco-cars for what they are.
