the interior looks nice, high quality.

the exterior is awful. they'd do better keeping the current design and swapping interiors.

they should have changed the overall shape of the car if they wanted to go radical. they should have left out the cartoonish headlamps and goofy side vents if they wanted to go evolutionary.

this looks like 2 seperate design briefs that got combined by mistake. it looks really stupid.

You have to understand that the FX is already a radical design out there. It stands out... However it does need to be refreshed and this is exactly what Infinity has done. I think the exterior and the interior look stunning! Hell I want one...

I like it. I am not sure it is a stud but you have to give Infiniti alot of credit for trying something bold. If this new transmission goes across the board for the rest of the cars that share this platform than Infiniti will be a lot more competitive.

I really like the back but the front it just looks retarded, lights looks too much on the sides and the grill looks like a vacumcleaner that just sucks and sucks the air, overall in my opinion; retarded front, everythign else is awsome. The only Picture that looka alright is the first one, there u dont really see those crucked eye front lights.

I would love to own the first generation fx with the new interior, beautifull combination. Actualy, come to think of it, i like the 1st gen interrior too but this one looks really high tech.

If i had a choice between x6 and fx, id would go for x6 despite its stupid 4 seat arrangement.

FX - great overall shape; overwrought, fussy details.
X6 - great details; weird shape.

The first FX was great - unique, goodlooking, bold, clean. I think they tried too hard with the new one...similar to the new G Sedan - took the same basic shape, changed it around, and mucked up the details.

Still, more stud than dud.

Actually, if you cover the grill of the car, it is actually quite attractive inside and out.
Put the EX grill on it and you have a winner.

STUD. It's different but in a good way. The first FX is still one the more original(and for a while, controversial) designs on the road today and this one will be no exception. Good job Infiniti.

The front is knida not right, but the rest is all good. But would this compete with the murano or ex. Will somebody explain to me what these cars are in relation to each other since they are all in the same price range and they are all from nissan. Im not bashing nissan I just need an answer.

How so?

It makes every other Infiniti vehicle yet produced look bland and uninspired. The only ones that come close are the previous FX and the G37. The FX50 pushes the envelope inside and out. It looks fresher, more modern and more cutting-edge than any other midsized SUV out there. To top it all off, the new FX also offers a fantastic powertrain and some new technology. What's not to like?

Interior looks much improved and I cant tell if I like the exterior because the brown, berillium or whatever they call it exterior is gross. Give me black on black please - pure form. Or silver on black. Something clean, then I can judge it.

Stud. The design is controversial and aggressive, but nowadays that is what we want. Some uniqueness along the way also. The grill looks like japaneese leaves molded out of steel.

The headlamps are fantastic, and so is the body, and engine choice get even better. Looks like Infiniti has got some trumps left in the slot for Europe.

Dud. Huge fan of the current FX45. They could have been less liberal with their modifications to their design. The head lights are over extended and the tail lights are are all over the place.

I agree, the vents are the only things that don't look quite right. They would probably fit in if the car were silver, black or dark blue.

I disagree about the headlights, though. Without them, the car would look completely different. As much as I love the front end of the current FX, this takes it to a whole new level.

DUD .. I think it is horrible. The styling doenst flow and has no real direction. For the goofs out there, this is not going to compete with the BMW X6. The brown leather is pretty sharp for the interior. Overall, this doesnt appeal to me at all. I prefer the older FX45
