Busch gets Toyota's first Sprint Cup win

Kyle Busch gave Toyota its first NASCAR Sprint Cup victory, driving away from the pack in the waning laps to win the Kobalt Tools 500 at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Busch, winning for the first time since last March 25 at Bristol, took the lead for good with 50 laps to go Sunday when Carl Edwards, trying for a third straight victory, went out with a broken transmission.

The first win for the Japanese automaker in NASCAR's top series came in its 40th race and is the first NASCAR victory by a foreign manufacturer since Al Keller drove a Jaguar to a road course win in Linden, N.J., in June 1954.

Nascar is only popular in America. Leave it to the Americans to think that rest of the world is exactly like America.

No, LexSucks, I don't think that the rest of the world is exactly like here, but I think that anyone with interest in automobiles or motosports would at least have heard of NASCAR, no matter where you are, the same way we are exposed to other motorsports events around the world.

You said stuff like "ESPN" and "SPEED". Why would you assume that those channels are broad casted every where else in the world (except the "moon")? Those channels are English channels. The Majority of the world doesn't even understand English. I still stand by what I said before. You have not convinced me otherwise.

TV's and what's actually broad casted to those TVs are two different things. What you see on your TV is different from what folks around the world see on their TV's. Agree?

Who cares? Nascar is the WWE of Auto-Racing.

The problem with Nascar is that they want every driver to have a chance of winning. In most competitions that simply isn’t possible. If a Nascar team got really good and started building race-cars that were winning race after race. Then the Nascar officials would change the rules to slow that car down, In an effort to give the other teams (who didn’t work as hard) a chance at winning. In other words; Nascar punishes teams for building cars that are faster than the rest of the cars.

Personally, I like Formula 1. If Ferrari is building a car that is winning race after race I don’t have a problem with that. The reason why they are dominant is because they are the best. In order for another team to beat them, they have to do it on the track (Not with the rules book) and simply get better than them. When a team is on top in F1 I know that they are the best. Nascar seems like a lottery in comparison.
