Man, I want one! I read on C&D that the original pricing was to be near the entry-level 911, but will end up being more than the 911 Turbo. Shame.

For my entire life BMW has not produced a single car that I didn't want or lust after - until now. I don't know if Chris alone is responsible for this mess, but whoever it is should be stopped. Either way, BMW will not get any more of my money until the designs are beautiful again. For a beautiful design see the new AMV8, which has ironically been designed by former BMW designer Henrik Fisker.

Yes, the irony of Vantage being designed by an ex-BMW designer is almost too difficult to bear. I too am an e46M3 owner with an eye on the Vantage. Before 2001, I would have blindly placed deposit on a 6-series simply because it is a BMW, and BMW could do no wrong. Since then, however, I am looking around.

from what I hear, if you don't have a deposit for one already, you're not getting one :-(
