Dodge Nitro by Cobra

Dodge Nitro by Cobra
Thanks to its highly distinctive design the Dodge Nitro has established a strong presence in the hard-fought SUV market. Cobra Technology & Lifestyle now offers high-quality German-made accessories for this model that meet the latest EU safety standards.

The Cobra Technology & Lifestyle engineers have developed a high-gloss stainless-steel tubular front guard for the American SUV that harmonizes visually with the chrome grille. The 60-millimeter guard is mounted elastically and absorbs energy in a crash. The required crash test for homologation showed the innovative accessory to remain well below the limits set by the new EU guidelines for pedestrian protection. The accessory was awarded a general EG operating certificate, eliminating the need for individual technical inspections. For further optimized active safety the guard comes with mounts for auxiliary high-beam headlights.

Wow, you can get that same kit from Cobra for just about any SUV, why is it so special when it appears on the Nitro?

I hate the Nitro anyway. This won't make it any better.

This vehicle actually sells in the EU?

Those parts look like they were taken from an institutional bathroom setting.

It's on sale...it doesn't actually sell though.
Crap diesel, very high emissions, terrible interior, poor MPG, little brand recognition and poor performance. People choose Rav-4s and Outlanders over this.

I have mixed feelings about the Nitro. I like the attitude, but not the final execution of the overall vehicle. If the exterior were mated to a car-based CUV platform, that would solve a lot.

Believe-it-or-not, other markets around the globe appreciate designs that aren't desirable in the US. The US Big 3 has recently realized this "tested" fact and has started to offer more of their same designs in foreign markets.

Foreign markets love features that are just completely ignored by Americans. Ford and GM have the most trouble with that fact. They would be earning higher profits if they could make 1 design and sell globally (ie Mercedes, BMW, Audi, LR, etc.).

This article need to be removed from the site. It's clearly written by a PR rep from Cobra. It's an ad for the push bar and has no relevance. The vehicle is garbage, and a new push bar is not a note-worthy event. Ooooooo, wait!!! It has mounts for off-road lights!! I take my previous comments back 100%!!

Please...
