Audi R8 V12 TDI LeMans test drive, 50/50 chance of production model
The guys over at AutoWeek just had the chance of a lifetime to take the new Audi R8 V12 TDI Le Mans around the Sebring International Raceway. While they were only allowed to drive a couple of laps under 50mph, AutoWeek said that ‘even though this car is a concept, driving it was amazingly civilized–everything worked, and nothing fell off.’

Speaking with the Audi team, they learned that the concept had a 50/50 chance of being built and that if it ever reaches production the car will be built on...

More like match it in performance, but beat them at the pump with better gas mileage. It is built on one of the Lambo platforms, isn't it?

For sure it'll be cheaper than the Lamborghini's and Ferrari's. But I can see this matching in price with the high end 911's.

I haven't even had the chance to drive my r8 that came in a little while ago. And already i'm starting to envy the V12 TDI over the RS4 engine. But i'll tell you guys how it is when I move back to town.

Michael, tell me, what is so clean about the Auris, Yaris and Corolla? They're just regular, unexceptional cars, with non-class leading MPG or emissions.

If Toyota is so green and "cares" about the environment, then why do they sell gas-guzzling and highly fuel inefficient pickups and sport utility vehicles in North America and elsewhere? Care to explain that, Taylor?

Toyota is in it for the money, like everyone else. Let's not forget that Toyota are masters at misleading people about their hybrids. Yes, you read that right. I said "misleading people"...

You mean 12 (twelve) hours? I was there, and Porsche (penske) won, breaking audi's winning streak. It was fun, a little warm, but fun. We even got to take a plane ride over the race track. A barazi-epsilon crashed wigth infront of us, the driver was shaken up, but was ok. Good times!

More than likely it will complement, rather than compete with the likes of Lamborghini and Porsche. Afterall, almighty Porsche now controls V-Dub, which controls Audi and Lamborghini
