direct-to-consumer auto leasing, released a list of the top 10 most
requested vehicles from its popular auto leasing website
http://www.LeaseCompare.com. Information was collected during the
second half of 2007 from more than two million lease quote requests.

Have you seen the lease deals on the Audi A4 this year? I've been seeing such good deals I'm thinking of getting a 2008 A4. A 2008 A4 2.0T with a MSRP of around $34K can be had for $299.00+taxes for 36 month's with about $3K down!

Audi is blowing out the A4 with very aggressive lease deals due to the totally redesigned '09 A4 coming out soon.

Most people probably BUY Lexus' because one of their reasons to buy them in the first place is reliability. They are in it for the long hall. People who lease cars dont want to deal with problems or they simply want a car they cant afford to buy.

I'd bet more than 10x as many queries as leases.
(maybe 100x?)
If you wanted to see a list of most popular vehicles LEASED it would start with the Ford F-series truck at the top.
So obviously queries don't match real leases.

how in the hell are there more corvettes leased than 3 series or for that matter camrys like in fairness there everywhere where are the chevy's going? It doesn't make sense

I'm surprised the Corvette is on the list since the corvette does not lease well at all. My friend went to look at a Corvette lease, and the lease was about $1,500/month for 36 months for 12K miles a year, vs. the BMW dealer gave him a brand new M5 lease for the same terms and with similar cash out of pocket for about $1,000/month.

Basically today's most popular cars are the top requested lease vehicles.


Corvette - Lease makes it even more obtainable to get the most obtainable super-car on the market. Plus you can trade it in for a more practical Chevy once your lease & "mid-life crisis" is up!


BMW/Infiniti/Audi - Leasing helps these "Desperados" get that marquee name in their garage, so does the fact that their basically each companies entry level models.


Accord/Camry/Altima - Most likely your average family making their house & car payments, flat out buying something of significant value would be un-wise & therefore the lease.


Civic/Cooper - Younger customer base whom either cannot afford buying the car, or will need something completely different in the future.

BMW subvents the lease rates on most of their line up. Getting a nice clean low mileage car back on the lot in 24 or 36 months benefits BWM who get to CPO it and the dealer who gets to sell it.

An example, I have a 335 now but in 2005, my company leased a new 2006 330i pretty much loaded and walked out of there with a monthly payment under $500 with nothing down but a security payment and tags. You have to know what you're doing (lease savvy) but you can get a great deal.

Any vehicle above $70,000 should not be leased. Those are cars you buy.
