New York Auto Show: 2009 Mercedes ML 63 AMG gets a blingin’ facelift
Mercedes-Benz today showed the 2009 ML 63 AMG with its new bling blingin’ in your face grille. The new ML 63 AMG gets a distinctive and striking new look with a new front and rear apron with a chromed underguard, a larger AMG radiator grille in high-gloss black with chrome highlights and new 20-inch AMG light-alloy wheels.

The powerful Benz SUV is still powered by a 6.3 liter V8 engine that produces 510 horsepower, giving it the ability to do 0-62mph in 5.2 seconds. The engine is mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT 7G-TRONIC automatic transmission with three drive modes.

The Mercedes-Benz ML 63 AMG will arrive in showrooms this fall along with the new 2009 ML-Class.

If you care about fuel economy, you won't even consider this thing.

The folks who buy such cars are clearly not concerned about the environmental effects or fuel economy ratings.

There's nothing new here that the aftermarket hasn't made available from the 1st day this vehicle hit the showroom.

I don't think "the aftermarket" could ever produce an engine of this caliber.

With that type of performance it's okay. Plus the sound that beast makes. It's insane.

Not sure if I dig the bling...but that is not what I dig most about this car anyway. 0-60 in the low 5s...I DON"T THINK SO! This badboy benz will run low 4s for sure. This kind of car here in the states would require supernatural restaint to avoid losing one's license. Intoxicating speed- AMG knows how to give us big grins!!

It looks good...Though it is unfortunate that over two generations Mercedes still can't get the back of this truck right.

It seems i am the only one here who wholly Dislikes this Vehicle. The New ML Model was not too pleasing to the eye, the AMG model was better to look at and now they have messed that one up too.

Who is making this design choice that More Chrome is better ?

Anyone know if the ML350 will get the same horsepower increase that will be on the '09 SLK350. It said to develop 305hp I believe.
